Background Information

Dr. Yapa completed his four year undergraduate degree in biology and  a four year degree in dentistry at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Dr Yapa then completed a one year internship at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago,IL  followed by a four year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. As an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Yapa manages a wide variety of problems relating to the face and jaws. Dr. Yapa practices a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from cosmetic facial surgery to corrective jaw surgery and replacement of missing teeth with dental implants. He also has extensive experience in the diagnose and treatment of impacted wisdom teeth,  facial injuries and TMJ disorders .

Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at Dr. Yapa's Offices has extensive training and experience in the mamagement of the oral and maxillofacial surgery patient. The  assitants are certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, and assist Dr. Yapa in administration of IV sedation along with surgical assisting within our state of the art offices located in Detroit , Mount Clemens and Ann Arbor. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Dr. Yapa is available 24 hours a day for patients of record.

All  staff members at Dr. Yapa's office are CPR certified. We have informed administrative personnel who are well-versed in health and insurance policies. Dr. Yapa is certified in both Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS)
